A rare and unusual sight has drawn public attention in Ayan Rasa Patti village near Ettayapuram in Thoothukudi district, where a chick was born without eyes and moves only by following the sound of its mother hen.
Muniyammal, a resident of the village, has been rearing chickens at her home. Recently, one of her hens was kept for brooding after laying eggs. After the incubation period, the hen hatched ten chicks.
Among them, one chick was born without eyes, with only an elongated beak visible. Due to the absence of eyes, the chick is unable to see and moves solely by listening to the sound of its mother hen.
The rare condition of the eyeless chick has left local residents astonished, and many people from the surrounding area are visiting the house to witness the unusual sight
