Shocking footage has emerged of a man lying severely injured on the grass beneath a multistory building after he fell out the window.

The video, filmed in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province last Sunday, shows the injured man lying on the lawn, while paramedics give him first aid before carrying him to the ambulance.

According to local reports, he hit one of the walls with a sledge hammer, it got stuck and flung him out the window.

Fortunately, despite having severe injuries, he is reportedly on the mend in hospital.

According to local reports, the man named Wang dropped from the forth floor when he was trying to hit the wall by the hammer but didn't hit the right place.

Because Wang overexerted, the hammer flied out of the window and he was dragged to fall down as well.

Thanks for the newly built soft lawn, although Wang had multiple fracture, he was out of danger.
