Woman arrested after riding motorbike with three-year-old nephew on the back
A woman was arrested after doing deliveries on a mini motorbike - while her three-year-old nephew rode pillion.
The 23-year-old woman was seen whizzing around on the tiny motorcycle as the naked toddler sat on the back while desperately clinging to her waist.
Footage of the bizarre incident in Hat Yai, southern Thailand, was reported to police who arrested the woman on May 19.
She told officers she ''didn't think it was a big deal'' because she was only travelling a short distance in between food take away orders.
Police Colonel Kittichai Sangkataworn, deputy chief of Hat Yai police station, said the woman had been fined 2,000 baht (50gbp) and apologised ''for her stupidity''.
He said: ''There were concerns for the little boy and it was reported to police. Later on the same day, I requested Police Lieutenant Warapong Hayeewang to investigate and locate the girl from the footage.
''She lives not far from where she was filmed and she was called in to admit her actions.
'The 23-year-old woman asked her name to be withheld and she accepted a fine for using a non-registered vehicle in public, not obtain a driving licence and riding a bike without a helmet.
''She said that she was only riding around near to her house and took her little nephew with her.
''She didn't think it was a big deal since she was only riding short distance near her house.''
