A drunk Middle Eastern man hurls his belongings across the ground after being arrested for annoying passengers at an airport.

Al-Shammari Mohammed, 35, was in the departure lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, when he became abusive.

The holidaymaker from Saudi Arabia was while sitting at the boarding gate after getting bladdered before his flight - stumbling around while shouting at fellow fliers.

Security guards dragged him into the airport's police station where he began throwing his possessions across the ground.

Police Colonel Pijit Angsupanit, Chief Inspector of Investigation Suvarnabhumi Airport Authority, said Al-Shammari was detained in a holding cell and forced to miss his flight.

She added: ''The tourist was arrested and fined for his drunken behaviour. When he sobered up he regretted his behaviour and had to buy a new ticket home.

''We monitored him closely to ensure his drunken behaviour was not repeated and he boarded a plane quietly.''
