Indian forest officials battled for nearly seven hours to save a lone tusker that had fallen into a 35-feet well. The incident occurred at a village near Sambalpur, Odisha, India on July 15. The young elephant had entered the village in the night in search of food. It was spotted after it had eaten many banana trees from the backyards of many houses. Villagers shouted and used spot lights to drive it away.
