This is the moment two thieves on motorbikes snatched a mobile phone from a man's hand as he was talking on it.

The footage shows the victim, Sukchain Singh, talking on his handset by the side of Sultanwind Road road in Amritsar, India on August 11.

Two men on a motorbike pass by him and snatch the phone before speeding away.

Police officer Amarbeer Kumar, who is probing the incident, said there were clues about the two men from the CCTV footage.

“They will be arrested soon,” he said.

Residents of Amritsar have been complaining for some time about the rising incidence of phone thefts.

Two men on a bike, pass by him, snatch the phone and drive away.

The incident occurred in Amritsar, Punjab, India.

A local resident, Sukchain Singh, 28, had gone to the Sultanwind Road on some work and called a friend. As they spoke, the thieves came, snatched his phone and drove away.

Singh ran into a shop, borrowed a phone and called the police.

Police officer Amarbeer Kumar, who is probing the incident, said there were clues about the two men in the CCTV footage. “They will be arrested soon,” he said.

Residents of Amritsar have been complaining about the rising incidents of cell phone thefts though none of the thieves have been as brazen as these two bikers in the video.
