This is the tense moment on Saturday night when Los Angeles and Orange County police officers confronted hundreds of illegal street racers who had blocked roads to perform dangerous stunts.

According to the filmer, up to 1000 vehicles and several thousand people gathered for the illegal event, which lasted about six hours and saw drivers pulling stunts in car parks and sections of road which they had blocked off throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.

Police attempted to shut down the event but spectators blocked their vehicles and were filmed behaving aggressively towards officers.

Several arrests were made, according to the filmer.

On Saturday December 29, there was a gathering of approximately 1000 cars and several thousand people for an illegal sideshow. This dangerous sideshow lasted for approximately six hours. Stunt drivers shut down many intersections and parking lots, performing dangerous acts all throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties. There were times when the vehicles came just inches from hitting the onlooking crowds. The local law enforcement agencies attempted to shut down the sideshows, but the spectators blocked the cruisers and were combative towards officers.

Throughout the night, multiple people were cited and arrested, including the main organizer of the event. There was one reported traffic collision, involving five of the vehicles belonging to onlookers from the sideshow
