In a heart-warming incident, a dog was rescued out from a 50-ft well after it fell into it and stayed inside for three days in Sainikpuri area of Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh, India.

The dog managed to stay afloat for 3 days until the residents informed an animal rescue organisation about the presence of the canine inside the well.

The volunteers of the animal organisation ‘Humane society International’ rushed to the spot to rescue the canine out of the well.

The volunteers reached the spot and after a long assessment, they decided to enter into the well.

Soon they realised that the dog cannot be rescued by entering inside and devised a strategy to take it out from inside the well.

After repeated failed attempt, one of the volunteers was tied with a rope and lowered down into the dark well to bring the canine up along with him.

One of the volunteers Teja said: “I had volunteered to go into the well but I was completely blind to the dog’s behaviour if it was friendly or aggressive.”

“The residents had already tried rescuing the dog but had failed."

In the video, the volunteer from the rescue organization can be seen going down the dark well as his team members release the rope gradually. After the dog is caught by the volunteer, they then pull him out along with the dog.

The volunteers carried on the marathon rescue operation for two long hours after which the dog was pulled out from inside the well.

The canine showed no signs of injury or trauma and was completely healthy.
