Stomach-churning moment grandmother finds dead LIZARD in her dessert
This is the stomach churning moment a grandmother found a dead LIZARD in her rice supper.
Juntho Kaewpuang, 62, bought the tube of sticky rice packed inside a length of bamboo, a traditional style Thai dessert.
But mid-way through her supper she bit into the snack and chomped on the TAIL of the dead reptile.
Juntho shrieked and ‘’nearly threw up’’ after she noticed the lifeless, dark black carcass of the ‘skink’ creature on Tuesday (22/01).
The grandmother-of-three from Surin, northeastern Thailand, said: ‘’I was so shocked that it made me shiver. Just the thought of it already made me nauseous. I am not going to buy it ever again.’’
Juntho said she brought six of the roasted bamboo tubes stuffed with sticky rice, which is her ‘’favourite Thai dessert’’.
She said that the other five bamboos were fine until she stripped the last one and took a bite which revealed the dead lizard.
Juntho said she lost her appetite but did not want to go back to the restaurant and cause a scene.
She said: ‘’Hygiene should be the top priority when cooking and selling food.
''Nobody wants to see any disgusting things while having food. They should be more serious measures about this.’’
