A baby zebra hilariously goes crazy as it kicks and jumps into the air when an oxpecker lands on its face.

The filmer, on a safari in Kruger National Park, South Africa last Monday (February 25), spotted the bird jumping from zebra to zebra looking for easy pickings, such as ticks on their skins.

The troublesome bird would not leave the foal's ears alone, causing the zebra to get very irritated until the bird finally got the message and flew off.

During a late afternoon safari in the Kruger National Park, we stopped to watch a small family of zebra busy feeding in the open. It was summer time and there were many baby zebras around. Zebra foals are normally very cute and very entertaining to watch. We noticed that a bird called an oxpecker was jumping around the animals in the herd, looking for easy picking such as ticks on their skins. The bird landed on the head of one of the baby zebras and it was not long before the little zebra became very irritated with the bird sitting on its head. It was so funny to watch the baby zebra shaking its head in an effort to get rid of the bird. To the young zebra’s annoyance, the bird simply would not go away while sticking to the side of the zebra’s head searching inside its ears for a snack. Eventually the pesky bird annoyed the little zebra so much that it hilariously started jumping around and kicking into the air, going a little crazy for a few seconds. The bird finally got the message and flew off to annoy another zebra in the herd.
