A dramatic footage has emerged of four thieves tricking a shop owner and stealing two brand new mobiles from his store. The incident took place in Okara city of the same district in Pakistan’s Punjab province.

Visuals, captured on CCTV cameras placed inside the shop, on Feb. 8, showed four men in the shop with the shop owner.

While one man keeps him busy with the mobile features, asking him to show the camera functions of the mobile, another man sneaks inside the counter and plucks two boxes of new mobiles.

The man could not see the thief approaching as he faced the other side, towards the road.

The two other men kept a close watch and it believed would have doused the tension if the thief got caught.

Once the packages were obtained, the thief kept it out of side by hiding it on the side of his garment.

The man, who kept the shop owner busy, by feigning interest, seemed to put his next plan into action and gave a disinterested look as the four departed the store with the stolen mobiles.

The shopkeeper had failed to recognise the plan at first, but then had a close look either at the shelf or the CCTV footage and quickly went out to chase the man.

It is not known if he managed to apprehend the culprits, but the video serves as a reminder to shopkeepers to be aware at all times.
