Indian police flagged down a family of three riding a motorbike down a highway, completely unaware that flames were shooting out from beneath the vehicle yesterday (April 14).

Video of the scene, filmed in Etawah District in Uttar Pradesh state, showed police chasing down the family and forcing them to pull over.

The male rider, a woman and a young child quickly got off the bike and were unharmed, though they frantically had to stamp out the flames on their baggage.

Dramatic incident caught on cam. UP police personnel acts as a good Samaritans. UP police team on Sunday (14th April) around 5:55 PM in evening chased a burning motor-bike for more than three miles and saved three persons including a child riding on it, The biker was unaware of fire in his bike . While initially, the cops are alerted by a burnt smell on the highway and can be heard wondering where was it coming from. Soon they spot the burning bike ahead of them and start the chase. However, the rider is completely unaware of the situation and pays no heed to the emergency hooter being used to warn him. Eventually, the van overtakes the bike and makes them stop. In order to stop the vehicle from bursting into flames, the cops can be seen removing the burning bags from the back of the bike and rushing with a fire extinguisher. The rescue operation was executed by Dial 100 PRV 1617 squad, who were keeping an eye at the traffic movement on Agra-Lucknow expressway. A team of constable Om Singh, constable Vikram Singh and diver Amit Baisla who executed the rescue operation successfully

.According The officers were also praised by the DGP of UP, who announced that they will be conferred with the DGP Commendation Disc. According to police Swantra Shakya, a resident of Barnahal, was riding bikewith his sister Aarti and niece Shivani when the incident happened.
