CCTV captures cops stealing cups in South India
A video gone viral from Tamil Nadu has become a source of much embarrassment for the state police.
The video shows two Tamil Nadu policemen stealing tumblers from the roadside.
What makes the theft even more flustering is the fact that the object of the theft -- the tumblers, were placed in the open by local volunteers to help provide water for passerbys in the scorching heat.
Volunteers placed free drinking water in earthen pots for commuters in Tamil Nadu's Aranthangi town to tackle the hot summer.
But they were confused to find the tumblers they placed for drinking, vanish every night.
To solve the mystery of the vanishing tumblers, they placed CCTVs in the area.
When the volunteers fixed the CCTV to find the culprits, they were stunned to find two uniformed policemen stopping near a free water station and stealing the tumblers.
