A cop is winning hearts in south India by turning his police baton into a flute and playing the instrument with great skill, in this amazing viral video.

The video shows Head constable Chandrakant Hutgi playing a flute using his own design on his fibre baton, or lathi, at the police station in Hubli, Karnataka state on Tuesday (May 28).

He was accompanied by Bhaskar Rao, IPS, the Additional Director General of Police (KSRP), who lauded him for the feat.

This move of encouraging hidden talents was appreciated by many as the video went viral on Indian social media.
