Shoppers avoid injury after steps on an escalator collapse in a Chinese mall
Two Chinese shoppers narrowly escaped after the steps on an escalator collapsed at Sun Square Mall in southern China.
The terrifying video, shot in Wuzhou City in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on June 15, shows the escalator steps suddenly starting to crumble right behind two men.
They can be seen running up the steps immediately to escape. Fortunately, they were both not hurt.
According to local reports, several incidents have happened on the mall's escalators.
