Qingwan River in southern China's Yulin city turned red due to waste discharged from nearby mills.

The video filmed on July 2 shows the Qingwan River running among the fields turning red.

According to local villagers, some mills in Dali Town discharged the waste upstream causing pollution.

The local environmental protection administration announced that they have found a dyed plastic bag with some red solid in the river.

They preliminarily confirmed that the pollution was caused by the dyes that were deliberately poured into the river by someone.

7月2日，广西玉林清湾江上游一夜成血红色。村民说是北流大里镇一村庄的一些作坊排污流向清湾江上游，从而导致一时之间水流变红，受污染的清湾江上游随流而下一条长长的红河水，看着令人发慌。7月3日，北流市环保局通报称，在下游几米处的河道里发现有一个被染红的塑料袋，袋中还残留有少部分红色固体。初步认定是人为向河流倾倒印染剂致河水变红。
