An electric bike saved a boy's life after he got trapped in the doors of a faulty elevator in eastern China.

In the video, captured in Hefei city in Anhui province on September 24, the elevator suddenly started to move up with the doors open as people were getting out, trapping the boy between the door and the floor.

Fortunately, the bike blocked the doors, preventing the boy from being squashed.

Firefighters arrived and tried to separate the bike seat from the bike so they could remove the boy.

After ten minutes, the boy was freed and sent to hospital for treatment.

The elevator was shut down and the case is in further investigation.

9月24日，傍晚6点左右，合肥包河区江南新里程小区某栋电梯内发生惊险一幕：一女子将电动车行出电梯时，电梯突然上升，坐在前座的孩子被卡在电梯里。 辖区警方和消防部门接警后赶到现场后立即展开救援。 由于电梯维保公司尚未赶到现场，为防止电梯再次发生位移，蜀山中队到场后，指挥员丁一鸣直接让物业将电梯锁死并断电。 根据观察，孩子是坐在一辆电动车前部小座椅，胸口被扶手卡住，和电动车一起卡在电梯里。想要救出孩子，只有将座椅与电动车分离。 蜀山中队消防员随即对座椅进行切割，由于坐垫下面还有个支架，空间过于狭小，特勤一中队到场后，利用电动往复锯快速切断。 经过十几分钟救援，座椅在拆除后，孩子被救了出来。 万幸的是，孩子情绪稳定，没有看到明显外伤，受伤孩子随后被送到附近医院检查治疗。 目前，该电梯已停运，事故原因正在进一步调查之中。
