Bizarre CCTV footage has emerged from China of an impatient man kicking a door off an elevator.

In the video, captured on a security camera in Guangxi earlier this month, the man takes his frustration out on the door when the lift gets stuck between floors.

According to local news reports, the two passengers were later freed by a rescue team within 20 minutes.

The man reportedly paid a repair fee of more than 20,000 yuan (more than 3,200 US dollars) in addition to serving 15 days detention and paying a fine issued by police.
