Hungry elephant raids canteen in northeastern India but shooed away by worker
This is the moment a wild elephant trespassed into an army camp and headed straight into the canteen in search of food in northeastern India.
The incident took place earlier today (November 27) at Narangi army camp in Guwahati, Assam.
Footage shows show the tusker entering the army canteen and damaging the chairs and tables kept in the dining area.
A worker lights a piece of wood then chases the jumbo out of the building.
This is not the first incident when an elephant has raided the camp, in the past, there have been several such incursions.
The local government ruled to remove wire fencing in and around the elephant corridors, the army authorities said they were expecting a spike in such intrusions.
