Amidst heavy snowfall, brave rescuers risk life to save 340 sheep and goats trapped under snow in mountain in northern India

A bravery act is shown by the group of youngsters, who rescued the flocks of 340 sheep and goats along with shepherds in north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

The incident took place on December 16 in the Boh region, located in the state's Kangra district.

Visuals show the aftermath of the rescue operation, where flocks of cattle rushing down the mountain while the shepherds are leading them.

According to the reports, the shepherds, identified as Gaddi Puhal, Duli Ram and Sanjay Kumar were heading towards Indore from Bharmour along with their cattle, when the incident unfolded.

One of the sheepmen, Ram, informed that there incessant rainfall in the region which led to massive snowfall.

According to reports, Ram's son Sanjay got in contact with the members of the Nodal club, a rescue team, who immediately rushed to the spot to save the trapped animals.

About 25 to 30 rescuers climbed up the mountain and dug about three-four feet snow to make way for the cattle to walk and safely got them down.

The shepherds have also asked the government for financial assistance.
