Lightning pierces through grey clouds during Taal Volcano eruption
Thounder clouds swirl around the Taal Volcano as it spews ash displacing communities around the once famed-tourist attraction.
The sudden eruption on Sunday (12/01) triggered the mass evacuation of more than 20,000 people and stranded tourists who visited to get a glimpse of the volcano over the weekend.
Footage shows residents at Batangas exclaiming at the thunderbolts forming on the cloud-like ash plumes on top of the second most active volcano in the country.
The Taal Volcano's activity is expected to last from days to several months said authorities.
