A group of angry locals set fire to two alleged drug houses after the court case of Moyhdian Pangarker accused of killing eight-year-old Tazne van Wyk was postponed to 17 April.

The footage shows locals flipping over vehicles and smashing the windows of nearby houses.

angered by the recent murder of 8 year old Tazne van Wyk, community members targeted alleged drug dens and brothels in parow.


Eye witnesses allege that the 8 year old was held at these houses and they are party to her going missing and later being killed.

Occupant fled and those affected were treated for smoke inhalation and minor cuts and bruises.

drugs remain a big challenge to poverty stricken communities accross the cape flats.
