4 year old killed in gang violence in Cape Town while playing in street
On Wednesday 08 October 2025, 4 year old Qadier Boer was shot in his head whil playing outisde his home in Hanover Park. Community members gathered outside the day hospital where doctors stabilised him before transferring him to Red Cross Childrens Hospital. He later died of his injuries.
Hours later community members, South African Police service and Law Enforcement went on a door to door manhunt for the suspects. Two 17 year old males were arrested and a number of others were taken for questioning
