Brian Hanlon, 37, captured the footage in Callander, Stirling, UK after Storm Dennis brought heavy rain, snow and gusty winds which battered Scotland.

The River Teith, which runs through the town, burst its banks and Barry spotted the kayaker on Sunday (February 23) afternoon.

Barry, from Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, had arrived in Callander from nearby Aberfoyle and was looking to park his car when he saw a man kayaking upstream.
