As millions of people have been forced to stay indoors following a government directive, aimed at containing the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus, there are many who have been performing their duties every day to ensure smooth conduct of the exercise in India.

Keeping up the spirits high amid the gloom is a group of police personnel from the northeastern state of Assam, who performed a dance while taking a two-minute-break.

Visuals shot inside a police station in Nagaon district shows police personnel sitting inside a room when one among them asks the others to take a break.

Soon, music starts to play and the group starts to perform a Bihu dance that is symbolic to the state.

The synchronised routine continues for two minutes before the team settles back to doing their work.

Earlier, a video had emerged of doctors performing a dance inside a quarantine facility in Pakistan.

Though it received some criticism, it is believed the performance was an attempt to keep things lighthearted.
