Indian Army Rescues SDM, Karnah at Sadhna
Chowkibal - Tangdhar Road which is the only axis connecting the people of Tangdhar to the outside world is spotted with avalanche prone stretches all along the route. At 2 PM today, SDM, Karnah and his driver, PSO were trapped in a massive avalanche at sadhana pass. Indian Army’s Avalanche Rescue Team at Sadhna pass supported by troops deployed around sprang into action and dug out the buried vehicle from a huge mass of snow. The Avalanche Rescue Team after having dug it’s way through to the bottom of the snow pile, broke the vehicle's windshield to rescue all the trapped individuals. As per eye witnesses around, the avalanche was just short of rolling the vehicle down the cliff.

The buried team was immediately accorded first aid and later stabilised at Sadhna’s medical inspection room.
