Army rescues Hungarian trekker after 30-hour-long search in northern India

A Hungarian trekker was rescued by the Indian Army after a 30-hour-long search in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir.

The incident took place in Kishtwar district on August 27.

Visuals showed the trekker surrounded by a few officials. He was standing beside a chopper and was giving a few items to one of the official.

According to reports, Akkoes Vermes, the trekker, lost his way in Umasila Pass in the Himalayan ranges while trekking. Upon finding him, he was airlifted by the Indian Air Force (IAF) to Udhampur for treatment.
