Two rat snakes fight over mating rights in woman's back garden
This is the moment two huge rat snakes are fighting over female in a family's back garden.
Resident Geerawan Khingpho, who is heard screaming in the video, recorded the warring reptiles outside her home in Nakhon Ratchsima, north eastern Thailand on April 18.
Footage shows two giant serpents having a battle near the wood stack in the garden. They are trying to be the winner to have a chance to mate with a female who might be waiting around.
Amazed Geerawan said: "I was tending to my garden that evening when I saw the reptiles aggressively fighting in about five meters away. They were enormous, I have never seen it before."
Oriental rat snakes are non-venomous who are frequently found in urban areas. Even though they are fast-moving, they are still hunted by humans for skins and meat in some areas.
