Dramatic moment firefighter rescues boy, 4, from burning home in Thailand
This is the dramatic moment a firefighter in Thailand saved a four-year-old boy who was stuck inside a burning house.
Firefighters responded to a call that a two-storey house in Angthong province, central Thailand, was on fire with a small child assumed to be hiding inside the burning home on April 27.
Footage shows the dramatic incident where the boy’s mother, who is seen wearing a red top, running to the rescuers and pointing to a window on the second floor.
''He’s in there,” the mother is heard crying.
As the woman runs inside the house in an attempt to save her boy, a firefighter forbids her from going in.
''You can’t enter. I’ll go by myself,'' he says.
The boy's mother attempted to save the boy but the kind fireman held her back and dashed into the inferno.
After a few minutes, the fireman was seen running down from the second floor with the boy in his arms.
He handed the child to his mother who broke down in tears when she saw her child was safe. She said that the fire had started upstairs while she was in the front yard, where where smelled smoke.
Thanin To-ngam, another rescuer, told reporters that the boy was stuck in a room that has been sealed shut. He had to smash the door to save him.
''We pulled him out as quickly as we could and he was taken to hospital,'' said the fireman.
The cause of the fire at the home in the Sawangha district of the city is still being investigated.
