Six-month-old girl, seven relatives discharged from hospital after successful COVID-19 recovery in central India

Seven members of a family, including a six-month-old girl and her 32-year-old mother, were discharged from a hospital after a successful recovery from the novel coronavirus in central India.

The incident took place at the Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS), located in Indore city of Madhya Pradesh, on May 4.

According to sources, nine family members of six-month-old had tested positive.

While seven were discharged, unfortunately, her father died on April 7.

The baby was kept under treatment for COVID-19 and was treated for the same.

Her 10-year-old sister is hospitalised with two of her reports returning negative for coronavirus.

According to the doctors, the family members were among 47 individuals who were admitted to ICU immediately, after they arrived at the hospital.
