This is the moment a poisonous snake was pulled out from under the seat of a motorbike in southern India.

Unnerving footage from August 3 in the Cuddalore District of Tamilnadu, shows a local snake handler open the seat to reveal the hiding place of a hissing, 4-foot-long wheat cobra.

The snake handler then coaxed the dangerous reptile into a plastic tub to be later released into a nearby woodland area.

According to local media, Mani, a resident of Ramakrishna Nagar, parked his scooter at the front of his house when he saw a snake crawling into his motorbike.

Scared, Mani immediately sought the help of the Fire and Rescue Department, who ordered a snake handler to the spot.

Snake handler with an instinct knew that the snake would have been hiding beneath the seat. Hence he opened the seat and heard the hissing noise and saw the snake under the seat.
Then the snake handler with utmost caught the Cobra carefully and said it belongs to the Cobra family and it is a wheat cobra that is almost 4 feet long. Due to the onset of monsoons in South India, several incidents of snakes being found in unusual places have been reported.
