The terrifying moment shows people watching running away quickly when the massive waves crashed onto the shore.
Several spectators and bikes were knocked over by the tidal waves. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The tidal bore is an important scenic spot of Qiantang River. The best time to see the tides is around August 15 on the Chinese lunar calendar, which is October 1 this year.
