Villagers work together to haul stranded truck back up muddy hill in Vietnam
This is the heartwarming moment villagers and their children helped to pull a stranded truck that slipped on a muddy downhill road.
Volunteer Pham Nha was with colleagues delivering relief goods to villagers who were affected by the typhoon in Quan Tri province, Vietnam on October 29.
However, the truck carrying the supplies was stuck in a muddy ditch after it drifted downwards the steep road.
Helpful villagers rushed to help the truck after a long rope was attached to it and started to pull as if playing tug-of-war.
Pham Nha said: "I thought we were the ones who were bringing help to the residents, but we received assistance from them.
"It is difficult to reach these places and extend relief because of the bad roads, but I'm glad there are people willing to help us."
The annual rainy season lasts from June to November in Southeast Asia and brings heavy downpours and flooding. Cambodia has also been severely hit this year along with Indonesia and Malaysia.
