School in south India makes eco-friendly Nativity scene out of all natural materials
A school in south India created a Nativity scene out of natural materials in this amazing video.
The teachers, the students and staff of Chavara Darshan CMI Public School in Ernakulam, Kerala announced the theme of their Nativity scene would be "plastic-free".
The students used mud, clay, coconut husks, straw and sand to create the statues and scenery used in their work. The natural clay and mud were brought down from a local ceramist, while the straw and coconut husk were collected from fields outside the school.
Finally, the characters of the Nativity were made out of clay and dressed in costumes sewed out of real sackcloth, and the spring of water for the scene flows out from a huge earthen pot.
