A man decided to build a sand horse sculpture on Cape Town’s well known Muizenberg Beach, despite the Level 3 Covid regulations which prohibit activities on the beach.

Yesterday South Africa’s Covid 19 alert level was raised to level 3 from level after the country started experiencing a second wave of infections and the country’s health system struggled to cope with the rising hospital admissions.

Under the new regulations all public beaches are closed and no swimming, surfing or other activities are allowed. People are not even allowed to walk on the beach as they may be arrested and prosecuted.
