Summery:

My story is about sustainable and renewable energy which stands as the next alternative for preserving the forest, reducing air pollution, abating deforestation, bringing eco friendly solutions and contributing to climate emergency.


In reducing air and environmental pollution and the rate at which the forest is exploited for wood, Royal Renewable Energy Cameroon, RRECAM, tackles this by bringing in solutions that are eco friendly and cost effective, the Biogas Digester solution.


Heaps of dirt that is always littered inYaounde has become a source of raw material for the biogas digester.


Character:

Boma Mohammed Chi, a biogas engineer trained by B Energy is the main character. He has provided biogas to many rural communities in Cameroon. He currently serves as the director of RRECAM experimental farm..


Scenes:

Visuals of a biogas digester construction from start till a flame will be ignited and food cooked is available. Footage of biodegradables collection from heaps of dirt is as well available. The entire procedure of feeding the biodegradable waste to the digester to produce cooking gas is available as well.

Sustainability and environmental Impact:

He ensures the sustainability of the project by opening a research center where students come for internships. He builds biogas plants which substitutes firewood and the slurry serves as organic manure for the gardens and farms and replaces chemical fertilizers which harm the soil and human life in the long run. He also trains aspiring biogas engineers to take the lead and save the environment.
