This is the moment a furious shop assistant fought back against an alleged pervert who flashed at her sister.

Duangjai Raijam, 46, sprung into action when Apichat Harachai, 34, allegedly exposed himself at the family shop in Kalasin, Thailand on February 19.

While the woman, Nantida Raijam, 37, was shocked by the incident, her older sister overpowered Apichat – slapping him round the head and dragging him out of the shop. She kicked him in the back and threw him to the ground before several neighbours arrived to help restrain him.

Officers later arrived and arrested Apichat, who allegedly confessed to flashing his genitals and molesting the woman.

Police Captain Soonthorn Prankham said they will review the evidences and interview the witnesses before charging Apichat with sexual assault.

He said: ‘The man will be detained while we interview more of the witnesses and gather evidence since he was denying the accusations.’

Nantida, who spoke publicly and identified herself to the media, said she was working in the family shop when Apichat walked through an aisle and exposed himself. He then allegedly groped her and tried to pin her to the ground but she fought back and she pushed him away.

Soon after, her mother and sister together with some neighbours came to rescue her against the unknown intruder after hearing her screams.

They all helped to restrain him and forced him in front of the shop before calling the police.

When the officers arrived, they saw Apichat seated on the pavement in front of the shop, crying and denying that he assaulted the woman.

The man was taken to the police station after the shopkeeper and the witnesses were interviewed.

Speaking after the incident, Nantida said the man had been loitering around the shop for a few days.

She said: ‘I called for a repairman to fix our window and door locks after he kept coming to our house and shop. I was really scared.’

Her sister, Duangjai, said they try to be cautious all the time since they are all women living together.

She said: ‘I never thought this would happen during the day. We always tried to be cautious and have a closed-circuit camera since we are all women in the house.’
