US cleaning company clears up blood and decomposed flesh from crime scenes and posts their transformations online
There's no place this extreme cleaning company won't go - from mopping up blood and decomposing flesh at crime scenes and purging hoarder homes.
Spaulding Decon is a cleaning service like no other, regularly attending drug labs and murder scenes to restore buildings to their former glory.
They peel remains off upholstery, scrub blood splatters, clear old vomit and shovel through hoarders' collections covered in animal urine.
The cleaners shine a light on the reality of what comes after the police leave by documenting their work with 'before and after' features on their social media pages.
Spaulding Decon's CEO Laura Spaulding founded the company 15 years ago in Tampa, Florida, USA, and now has 45 franchises across the country.
She said: "The weirdest thing I have ever found was a d i ldo attached to a drill in a meth house!
"When I was working at the Kansas City Police Department, I came across a case where the family of the victim didn’t realize that police did not handle cleaning aftermath.
"I offered to help them clean up and from that day forward, I realized that this was a common misconception people had.
"I had found a niche where people needed help.
"The best part about the job is the before and after of the homes and the lives we change."
Their TikTok account @crimescenecleaning got 2.5 million followers in its first three-and-a-half weeks - scratching a morbid itch that true crime podcasts can't.
