Vietnamese doctor removes dozens of parasitic flukes LIVING in patient's eyes
This is the horrendous moment a doctor in Vietnam removed dozens of flukes that were living in a woman's eyes.
A video filmed in Cao Bang on May 15 shows the doctor using an implement to tease the parasitic flatworms from the patient's eyes.
According to the doctor, the woman came to her clinic complaining of itching and pain. She said it felt like there were animals crawling in her eyes.
On examination, the doctor saw the flukes some of which were more than 10 centimetres long.
The doctor advised the patient to stop washing her face in streams.
Fortunately, the flukes did not damage the woman's eyes.
The video was filmed with the patient's permission.
