Pro-democracy activist Alexandra Wong marched through the streets of Hong Kong on Tiananmen Square's anniversary despite a police crackdown.

Wong, known as Grandma Wong, was seen walking with a yellow umbrella synonymous with the 2019-20202 Hong Kong protests. The elderly woman also chanted "remember Tiananmen."

Around 7,000 police officers were deployed to enforce a ban on anniversary events commemorating the Tiananmen Square Massacre.

Hong Kong pro-democracy social activist ALEXANDRA WONG Fung Yiu, know affectionately as Grandma Wong, turns out to remember the 1989 Tiananmen square incident in Hong Kong despite the government banning any gatherings.
Under the new National Security Law defying the government will result in arbitrary arrest.
This years event, the 32nd anniversary of the incident, was banned by the Hong Kong police and the Victoria Park venue barricaded closed. Just left protesters like grandma Wong, walking the streets of Causeway Bay in circles.
Grandma Wong, is carrying a small yellow umbrella synonymous with the Hong Kong protests, is wearing a "five demands not one less FDNOL" protest mask, carrying remembrance flowers, with union jacks stuck to her mask, and carrying an illuminated drawing of Agnes Chow, the now-jailed student leader.
As she walks, she can be heard screaming "remember Liu Xiaobo" "June 4th" "remember Tiananmen"
Police this time chose not to arrest her. She was arrested 4 days ago while making a solo protest walk through the city.
