Sea turtle caught in fishing net is released into ocean in Philippines
Adorable footage shows a loggerhead sea turtle caught in a fishing net looking happy when residents took it back to the ocean in the Philippines.
The marine animal delightfully shook its flippers while a fisherman carried it back to the water in Culasi, Antique on April 8.
Resident Tess Salazar Fortaleza said they were on the beach waiting for the fresh catch when a fisherman unraveled his net and found the creature inside.
She said: ‘The turtle looked happy because he probably knew that the people who caught him won’t hurt him. The turtle then swam away and we bought fish.’
The turtle shakes its flippers before getting into the water and swimming away.
Fortaleza said: "The turtle looked happy because it probably knew that the people weren't going to hurt it".
The footage was filmed on April 8.
