The man was flung onto the concrete pavement after trying to steer clear of the vehicle in Recife, Pernambuco.
Neighbours stood in shock as the man made an attempt to return to his beaten bicycle.
Onlooker Jamesson Lessa Gomes said: ‘In the video it looked like he smashed hard on the ground. The poor guy tried his best to avoid the car. Fortunately he was not seriously hurt.’
