A passenger had a near-death experience when he almost slipped under a running locomotive in western India's Maharashtra on June 29. The incident took place in Borivali Railway Station in Mumbai.

CCTV footage features the passenger getting dragged along the speeding train while he attempts to deboard it. Within seconds, he lies on the edge of the platform as his life fades in front of his eyes while the locomotive tosses him away after giving him an uncontrollable spin. Fortunately, alert railway personnel rushes and grabs him with the help of another person and pulls him to safety.

In the life-saving act, the on-duty Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable showed his presence of mind and saved the life of the man who fell while trying to get down from a moving train and was quite dangerously close to the gap between the locomotive compartments and the platform.
