Footage shows swimming pool water trembling during a magnitude 6.6 earthquake in the Philippines.
The hotel and resort CCTV recorded the moment water shook during the natural phenomenon in Cavite City on July 24.
A member of staff at the resort said: "Nothing was damaged here and there were no guests as well due to the pandemic restrictions. It was still so scary and we all woke up and checked the security cameras afterwards."
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology director Renato Solidum Jr said the quake was related to the Manila trench and not the Taal volcano which was showing signs of activity recently.
He said: ‘This has nothing to do with the volcanic activity of the Taal Volcano. This often happens and sometimes, the earthquakes underneath Calatagan are felt in Metro Manila.’
No casualtyies were reported as the tremor was only felt at Intensity 5 which was relatively strong but not destructive.
