Firefighters rescued a woman trapped on a mountainside after she fell through an abandoned glass walkway in northern China.

Video captured in the city of Handan in Hebei Province on November 24 shows a fireman climbing down a broken glass walkway to approach a woman trapped on a slope.

Other firefighters on the glass walkway then pulled the woman up together.

After around 30 minutes, the woman was rescued successfully and was handed over to the paramedics on site.

According to reports, the glass walkway was abandoned and has a warning sign saying “no entry. Entry is at your own risk” at the entrance.

However, the woman ignored the warning sign and walked onto the glass bridge. She then accidentally fell though as she did not see a piece of glass was broken already.

11月24日下午,河北邯郸峰峰矿区大社镇3号旅游路，一名约50岁女子在经过玻璃栈道时，没有发现栈道的玻璃已经破碎，不慎坠落，摔至栈道下方约5米左右的斜坡上，所幸被树枝拦住。被困女子意识清醒，没有明显外伤。接到报警后，救援人员火速赶到现场，安抚被困女子情绪的同时，一名救援人员穿戴好个人防护装备后，利用绳索从玻璃栈道上方滑至被困女子身边，把安全吊带和安全绳绑在被困女子身上做好防护，随后在玻璃栈道上方救援人员的配合下，下午四点半左右，经过30分钟的紧张救援，被困女子被成功转移地面上，并移交给现场120医护人员。经了解，这处玻璃栈道已经不再向游人开放，在入口处还有“禁止入内 后果自负”的警示牌。（视频由河北台提供）
