A huge crocodile demonstrates its fearsome power while thrashing around with its prey.

The clip was captured at MalaMala Game Reserve in South Africa back in 2019.

"It had already caught its prey and was in the process of ripping it apart in order to consume it. A display of the sheer power that occurs in nature," said the filmer, Pieter van Wyk.

'Intensely captivating footage surfacing from South Africa features a hungry crocodile mauling its prey and then feeding on it.

This near-10-minute thriller was caught on camera by Pieter van Wyk and it shows the colossal reptile with its prey in its mouth.

The beast keeps swimming around and violently shaking the carcass for a while before it begins its munching routine.

"While on safari at MalaMala Game Reserve, we came across a crocodile in the Sand River," Pieter said. "It had already caught its prey and was in the process of ripping it apart in order to consume. A display of the sheer power that occurs in nature."
