This is the heartstopping moment a motorcycle rider narrowly avoided being crushed to death after almost sliding under a truck.

Onlooker Kim Dingle was driving home when she witnessed the near-miss accident in San Jose del Monte City in Bulacan province, the Philippines, on January 21.

Dashcam footage shows the motorcyclist heading straight into the path of the oncoming truck which was making a turn at the intersection.

The rider tried to slam on the brakes at the last second, but the momentum carried him forward and nearly flung him under the truck's wheels. Luckily, he skidded to a stop just inches from the heavy vehicle.

Kim said: 'I stopped to see if the rider was badly injured so I could call an ambulance for help. Thankfully, he did not suffer any major injuries.'

She added that motorists should always keep their eyes on the road and to follow traffic rules at all times.
