Kind passer-by uses broom to rescue drowning rat from drain
Footage shows Tey Chakkri Phiachan pulling the wet rodent to safety using a broom in Udon Thani province, Thailand on September 8.
Tey said: 'At first I did not want to rescue it because I'm afraid of rats. But when I looked down, it made a sad face so I took a brook stick and stuck it down the water.'
The creature climbed onto the end of the broom and Tey lifted it to safety. It then scurried away under a nearby building.
