Local authorities in Indonesia are still recording the number of damaged buildings after a 6.2 magnitude earthquake hit the province of West Sumatra on Friday (February 25).

Thousands of displaced residents are now living in camps organized by the government after their houses were totally destroyed.

Authorities continue to dig in the rubble of collapsed buildings and mud from landslides for more victims. So far, eight people were killed and over 80 have been injured.

Until now, Saturday (26/2/2022) the Regency Government is still recording the number of damaged buildings after the earthquake in West Pasaman, West Sumatra which occurred on Friday (25/2). However, refugee camps have also begun to be erected and some have been given to a number of families whose houses are no longer suitable for habitation from the Ministry of Social Affairs. Later, the Government will also establish a social granary in collaboration with a number of relevant agencies to provide basic needs for post-disaster victims, so that it is not far to get logistics. "The social granary is intended so that the community can be independent and not depend on the core post alone, because the location of residents is far from the regent's office," said Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini. Puluhan Rumah dan Sejumlah Fasilitas Umum Rusak Pasca Gempa 6.2 Magnitude di Pasaman Barat

Hingga kini, Sabtu (26/2/2022) Pemerintah Kabupaten masih mendata jumlah bangunan yang rusak pasca gempa di Pasaman Barat, Sumatera Barat yang terjadi Jumat (25/2).

Namun tenda pengungsian juga sudah mulai didirikan dan juga ada yang telah diberikan kepada sejumlah keluarga yang rumahnya sudah tidak layak huni dari pihak Kementrian Sosial.

Nantinya, Pemerintah juga akan mendirikan lumbung sosial yang bekerja sama dengan sejumlah instansi terkait guna menyediakan kebutuhan pokok bagi korban pasca bencana, agar tidak jauh untuk mendapatkan logistik.

"Lumbung sosial tersebut bertujuan agar masyarakat bisa mandiri dan tidak bergantung pada posko inti saja, karena jarak lokasi warga jauh ke kantor bupati," ungkap Menteri Sosial, Tri Rismaharini

Nantinya pihak keluargalah yang menentukan lokasi pemasangan tenda keluarga tersebut, dan nantinya juga akan dibagikan makanan siap saji dan makanan anak hingga peralatan bayi," tambahnya.(moozamochi).
