Legal action awaits any party who encroaches on the prohibited fishing area in Tanjung Tuan, here, including those who try to steal coral in the area.

Chairman of the Negeri Sembilan Agriculture and Agro -based Industry Action Committee, Datuk Bakri Sawir, said the action could be taken as the waters of Tanjung Tuan had been gazetted as a prohibited area for fishing, including coral or seaweed consumption.

“The state government will take action against any party who tries to encroach or damage marine waters such as latok and karang in Tanjung Tuan. If still stubborn, they will be prosecuted according to existing laws.
“I also hope that the public will take care of this marine area so that it is not polluted which can destroy nature. All parties need to work together, including tourists so that this area can be inherited by grandchildren, "he said at the Marine Biodiversity Conservation Program at Tanjung Biru Beach.
